Not Big, Not Clever, Not Girls.

So... I haven't done any posts about minis for a while. There's a pretty good reason for this of course. I just haven't been doing that much painting lately. It's surprising just how much time it really takes to make shitty comics. And the constant going mad doesn't help of course. But it's not like I've been TOTALLY inactive on the painting front. So let's try and catch up a little shall we?

Yet Another Minis Catch Up Post; Part 6968.3. Probably.

I have a theory. Some time back in the late 70s or early 80s a wargamer REALLY pissed off John Nathan Turner. I'm not sure what it was he did exactly, save that it must have been terrible. Terrible enough that JNT swore bloody vengeance on all painters of little metal people, from that time onwards. And in he waited, and plotted, and when the time was right he unleashed a torment such as the world had never seen before.

No, not that one. A DIFFERENT torment.

And thanks to that one nameless fool we're all still paying the price to this day. Because there will come a time in the life of everyone who shares both miniature painting and Doctor Who as hobbies when they suddenly realize that they're going to have to try and paint the 6th Doctor.

Behind With The Times Part 2: In Sssspace No One Can Hear You....

It's a sad fact that these days my miniatures pipeline is, for want of a better phrase, woefully constipated. Thus it is that I find myself posting these catch ups. Which themselves are also hardly regular. What can I say? All those video games are hardly going to play themselves now are they?

But what's interesting about this is that I've got a few bit's and bobs that I've been planning and procrastinating over for months that suddenly find themselves relevant. Perhaps it's serendipitous. Point is I FINALLY finished my goddamn Ice Warrior conversions.

Catching Up With The Little People

It appears that I've been somewhat remiss in keeping up with my miniature painting activity of late. Not that I haven't been doing any. I've been pottering around with various bits and pieces in between bouts of video games and suicidal depression. It's just that I haven't really been doing very well at posting any of the results.

So then let's rectify the situation in no particular order.

If You Go Down To The Woods Today

Wow, so it's been nearly a month and I haven't put anything up here? I must be slacking off.  But dear reader (and I do mean that in the singular) fear not! For it's not like I've spent ALL my time slavishly pressing buttons and swearing at the screen of the new xbox. I mean yes, MOSTLY it's been like that. But totally. In between these Tourettes laced bouts of action I've actually managed to get a little bit of painting done.

Can you guess what it is I've been working on?

Goldilocks

It's no secret that I have developed a certain degree of affection for the Owlbear. However, I think that maybe I need to try to rein it in a little. The enthusiasm part that is. You can't put reins on an Owlbear, they just bite through them.

Anyway, the point is I went shopping.
