I have to admit, I've been finding it a little tricky to review Jurassic World. Not because I don't have opinions on the movie, far from it. But what with various other things going on with my life I'm finding it a bit tricky to get my thoughts together enough to write up a coherent summary.
Mainly of course this is because the bloody Steam sale decided to start up at the same time as the film came out, and I keep getting distracted by trading cards. Indeed things got so bad I gave up on my first attempt and decided just start again. By going to watch the film a second time.
So.. yeah. I'm sure you can guess that this isn't going to be the most unbiased review in history.

Waifus & Strays
I got Huniepop for my birthday. I mean, I got other things as well. I have nice friends. But of those things that I got for my birthday it's Huniepop that I want to try talking about. Partly because, being a dating sim / puzzle game hybrid there's lot's of oddness to discuss both in terms of humorous quirks and analysing attitudes towards sex in gaming. But mostly because when I got given it the attitude expressed was that they were looking forward to what I had to say about it.
And I think there is a lot that can be said regarding the game, but I must admit to having some difficulty in deciding quite how to approach it. I mean, it's a fun game to be sure. But there is some oddly disturbing subtext going on at the same time. And of course, being a sex themed game there's always the possibility that I'm going to have to make some sort of definitive statement on whether or not it actually gave me an erection at any point.

Unimaginatively Titled Minis Post Part The Umpteenth.
Funny thing, time. I never seem to have enough of it to do anything. But if I'm not actually doing anything, shouldn't I have some time on my hands? Or am I just being logical about this?
Anyway, whilst I think I've probably been spending most of my time either being really stressed and depressed or compulsively reading Discworld books in order to try and escape being really stressed and depressed I did at least manage to finish of a couple of bits of painting. Although that was a couple of weeks ago I think?
Maybe I just have no idea how time actually works any more. That would explain a lot. Still, point is I managed to get a tiny bit of something constructive done, so let's have a look shall we?
